8010-DRIVE MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH - LPSDM
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Anytime the Power Sliding Door is awake.
- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Power Sliding Door module senses voltage above 3.0 volts on the Drive Motor Output (+) or (-) circuits when there should not be.
Diagnostic Test
1. CHECK FOR DTCS
With the scan tool, record DTC's and any power sliding door inhibitors.
Erase the DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Attempt to operate the Power Sliding Door
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
2. DRIVE MOTOR OUTPUT (+) CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Right Power Sliding Door Module C1 connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between Ground and the Drive Motor Output (+) circuit.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the Drive Motor Output (+) circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. DRIVE MOTOR OUTPUT (-) CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
Measure the voltage between Ground and the Drive Motor Output (-) circuit.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the Drive Motor Output (-) circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 4
4. DRIVE UNIT
Measure the resistance between the Drive Motor Output (+) circuit the Drive Motor Output (-) circuit.
Is the resistance above 1.0 ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Drive Unit
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Replace the Power Sliding Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
