7000 - 7999: 7271

7271-IMPLAUSIBLE FRONT WHEEL SPEED MESSAGE RECEIVED

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on, one implausible message received at least once.

- Set Condition:
When the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects an incorrect wheel speed sensor signal for approximately 200 mSec.





1. CHECK IF DTC 7271-IMPLAUSIBLE FRONT WHEEL SPEED MESSAGE RECEIVED IS PRESENT
With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Is DTC 7271-IMPLAUSIBLE FRONT WHEEL SPEED MESSAGE RECEIVED present?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Refer to the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST.


2. WHEEL SPEED SENSOR DTCS
With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Are any other Wheel Speed Sensor DTCs present?

Yes

- Refer to appropriate wheel speed sensor diagnostic procedure.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
