2013-AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE CAN SIGNAL FAULTY

- When Monitored:
Continuously while the system is active.

- Set Condition:
The ECM does not receive an Ambient Temp signal form the SAM.

Diagnostic Test

1. ACTIVE DTC
NOTE: Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.

NOTE: Check the SAM for an Ambient Temp sensor DTC and diagnose first and retest.

Ignition on, engine not running.
With a scan tool, view DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure.
- Perform the ECM Verification Test Ver. 1. Verification Tests

2. SAM COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S IN OTHER MODULES
With a scan tool check for SAM communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus.
Are there any cluster communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus at this time?

Yes

- Replace and program the SAM.
- Perform the ECM Verification Test Ver. 1. Verification Tests

No

- Replace and program the Engine Control Module (ECM).
- Perform the ECM Verification Test Ver. 1. Verification Tests
