D602-THE CONTROL UNIT SOFTWARE IS FAULTY

- When Monitored:
Ignition on, engine running.

- Set Condition:
When the ABM/ESP recognizes an internal failure has occurred. One trip fault.





Diagnostic Test

1. ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE
Check for any TSBs that may apply to this fault code.
Verify that the ABM is at the latest calibration level.
Check the ABM ground circuits with a test light connected to B+.
Check the ABM Fused B+ circuit with a test light connected to ground.
Check the ABM Main Relay circuits with a test light connected to ground.
Do the ABM power and ground circuits light the test light brightly.

Yes

- Replace and program the Anti-lock Brake Module.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.

No

- Repair the circuit for an open or shorted condition.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
