90C0-RAIN LIGHT SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH-RCM

- When Monitored:
With the wipers on.

- Set Condition:
When the RCM detects a short/HIGH condition.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase RCM DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 30 seconds then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is DTC 90C0-RAIN LIGHT SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH-RCM active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1. Verification Tests

2. RAIN SENSOR CIRCUIT SHORTED HIGH
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the RCM C5 connector.
Disconnect the Rain Light Sensor.
Measure the resistance of the circuit between the RCM and Rain Light Sensor.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Roof Control Module. Refer to the applicable service information for programming the Rain/Light sensor after replacement.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1.Verification Tests

No

- Repair the Rain/Light sensor circuit for a shorted high condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1. Verification Tests
