907B-REAR WINDOW HEATER 1 CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW - BCM

- When Monitored:
Continuously

- Set Condition:
When the Body Control Module detects a shorted low condition on the relay control circuit this DTC will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
Start the engine.
Operate the rear defogger switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display 907B-REAR WINDOW HEATER 1 CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

2. DEFOGGER RELAY
Install a known good relay in place of the Rear Window Defogger 1 Relay.
With the scan tool erase DTC's
Start the engine.
Operate the rear defogger switch several times.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display 907B-REAR WINDOW HEATER 1 CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

No

- Replace the original Rear Window Defogger 1 Relay.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

Yes

- Go To 3

3. HEATED REAR WINDOW RELAY 1 CONTROL SHORTED
Disconnect the Rear Window Defogger 1 Relay.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C9 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Heated Rear Window Relay 1 Control circuit at the relay.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Heated Rear Window Relay 1 Control circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.
