900D-DRIVER DOOR LATCH CIRCUIT HIGH - DDM





For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:
Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the DDM does not sense any current flow through the passenger door latch circuit during a lock or unlock actuation, this code will set





Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.
Close all doors.
Operate the door lock switch in both directions a few times.
Wait 30 seconds.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display 900D-DRIVER DOOR LATCH CIRCUIT HIGH?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

2. DOOR LATCH




Disconnect the Driver Door Latch connector.
Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit and the other end to the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
Operate the door lock switch in both directions a few times.
Does the test light illuminate brightly when the switch is operated in both directions?

Yes

- Replace the Driver Door Latch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 3

3. DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Door Module C1 connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between ground and the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 4

4. DRIVER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Measure the voltage between ground and the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 5

5. DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit between the DDM C1 connector and the latch connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

No

- Repair the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Verification Tests.

Yes

- Go To 6

6. DRIVER DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN




Measure the resistance of the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit between the DDM C1 connector and the latch connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

No

- Repair the Driver Door Lock Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

Yes

- Replace the Driver Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
