B2563-POWER SLIDING DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT HIGH - CLUSTER

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Cluster/CCN is awake.

- Set Condition:
When the Cluster/CCN senses voltage over 6 volts on the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.





Diagnostic Test

1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, record DTC's.
Erase DTC's
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Operate the Left Power Sliding Door several times from the Left Power Sliding Door B-Pillar switch.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

2. CHECK (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Disconnect the Switch-Bank-No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between ground and the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit in the Switch-Bank-No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.9 volts?

No

- Go To 3

Yes

- Go To 4

3. CHECK THE (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C2 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit between the Switch-Bank-No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector and the Instrument Cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

No

- Repair the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

Yes

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

4. CHECK THE (G23) SLIDING DOORS OVERHEAD SWITCH MUX WIRE FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE




Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage between ground and the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit in the Switch-Bank-No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the (G23) Sliding Doors Overhead Switch Mux circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
