B19F5-RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR LATCH CONTROL 2 CIRCUIT OPEN - DMRR

For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Right Power Sliding Door is in a latch cinch or release operation

- Set Condition:
When the voltage drop across the Right Power Sliding Door Latch Cinch/Release motor circuit is below a calibrated value, this code will set.

Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR DTCS
With the scan tool, record DTC's and any power sliding door inhibitors.
Erase the DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

2. REAR DOOR MODULE

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Right Rear Door Trim Panel.
Disconnect the Right Rear Door Module C1 and C2 connectors.
Manually open the sliding door part way.
Connect a jumper wire from the (Z909 Ground circuit to the (Q48) Right Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit in the C1 connector.

NOTE: Be careful not to spread the terminals in the connector.

Observe the rear door latch position.
Momentarily connect a jumper wire between the Fused (B+) circuit and the (Q46) Right Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit in the C1 connector.
Reverse the polarity of the jumper wires several times and observe the rear latch to see if it changes each time the wires are reversed.
Does the rear latch change from Latched to Unlatched each time the wires are reversed?

Yes

- Replace the Right Rear Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK THE (Q46) RIGHT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR LATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Right Rear Door Module Assembly.
Disconnect the Right Rear Door Latch C3 (motor) connector.
Measure the resistance of the (Q46) Right Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit between the Right Rear Door Module C1 harness connector and the Right Rear Door Latch C3 harness connector.
Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent open circuit condition.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the (Q46) Right Cinch/Release Motor Latch Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

4. CHECK THE (Q48) RIGHT CINCH/RELEASE MOTOR UNLATCH DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Measure the resistance of the (Q48) Right Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit between the Right Rear Door Module C1 harness connector and the Right Rear Door Latch C3 harness connector.
Wiggle the harness and check for an intermittent open circuit condition.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Right Rear Door Latch Motor or Latch Assembly.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Repair the (Q48) Right Cinch/Release Motor Unlatch Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
