B19CE-RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR OPEN DIRECTION OVERCURRENT

- When Monitored:
Whenever the Right Power Sliding Door Motor is in operation.

- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Right Power Sliding Door module senses a current draw of more than 30 amps for over 500ms during a power opening operation.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR DTCS
With the scan tool, record DTC's and any power sliding door inhibitors.
Erase the DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

2. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR
Examine the Right Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
Manually operate the Right Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
Especially notice the effort needed to open the Right Power Sliding Door.
Were there any mechanical problems found?

Yes

- Refer to Service information for the related procedure(s).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE AND MOTOR CONNECTORS
NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.
Disconnect the Power Sliding Door Motor 8 way harness connector.
Check the Power Sliding Door Motor connector and for proper terminal contact, corrosion, damaged terminals, or pinched/broken wires. Check for any mechanical problems.
Were any mechanical or electrical problems found?

Yes

- Repair any wiring or mechanical problems if possible. If the problems cannot be repaired, replace the Right Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.

No

- Replace the Right Power Sliding Door Drive Unit and Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
