B19A8-LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR CONTROL CIRCUIT 2 LOW
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Anytime the Left Power Sliding Door is in a power open or close operation.
- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Left Power Sliding Door module senses voltage less than 0.5 volts on the Left Power Sliding Door Motor Close Driver Circuit for more than 100ms.
Diagnostic Test
1. CHECK FOR DTCS
With the scan tool, record DTC's and any power sliding door inhibitors.
Erase the DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read the Power Sliding Door Battery Voltage Input.
NOTE: If the Battery Voltage Input is below 12.0 volts, check the Fused B(+) and Ground circuits at the C382 or C383 Body connector and repair as necessary before proceeding.
Attempt to operate the Left Power Sliding Door
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
2. CHECK THE LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR
Examine the Left Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
Manually operate the Left Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
Especially notice the effort needed to unlatch and close the Left Power Sliding Door.
Does it take more effort to operate the door than it should?
Yes
- Refer to Service information for the related Procedure(s).
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE LEFT POWER SLIDING DOOR TRACK HARNESS
NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.
Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.
Remove the Power Sliding Door Module from the track assembly.
Disconnect the Power Sliding Door Module connector
Reconnect the C383 Left Body 4 way harness connector.
Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the (A959) Fused B(+) circuit and the other end to the (Z908) Ground in the PSD Module connector.
Turn the ignition on.
NOTE: The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.
Does the test tight illuminate brightly?
No
- Repair or replace the Track harness as necessary. If you have to order a new harness, be sure to specify if it is for the Driver or Passenger side of the vehicle.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
Yes
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE SLIDING DOOR OPEN AND CLOSE CIRCUITS
Connect the PSD Module connector to the module.
Connect a 12-volt test light between the Sliding Door Open Driver circuit and the Sliding Door Close Driver circuit in the PSD Module C2 (component side) connection.
With the scan tool, actuate the Drive Motor Control to Open then Close while observing the test light.
Does the test light illuminate brightly each time the motor is actuated in either direction?
No
- Replace the Power Sliding Door Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
Yes
- Replace the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests.
