Removal

REMOVAL




1. With vehicle in neutral, position on hoist.
2. Remove drain plug and drain fluid.
3. Remove brake caliper, rotor and park brakes.
4. Remove axle flange (1) plug snap ring (2).
5. Tap axle end plug loose from the axle flange with a hammer and punch. Pull plug out of axle flange.




6. Remove axle bearing bolts (1) from axle (2).




7. Remove axle shaft (1) with bearing (2) from axle.




8. Press axle shaft (1) out of the flange (2) and bearing.
