Removal

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect the ground cable on the battery.
2. Remove the air bag module from the steering wheel.

NOTE: The steering wheel has master splines but the steering shaft does not. The steering wheel must be marked (2) prior to removal or the wheel can be reinstalled wrong in any position.

3. Mark the steering wheel and steering column shaft with a paint pen (2) to ensure the proper orientation when installing.




4. Turn the steering wheel (1) and lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.
5. Remove the steering wheel bolt (2).
6. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column.
