9073-REAR/SIDE DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT HIGH - BCM





For a complete wiring diagram refer to Diagrams/Electrical.

- When Monitored:

Whenever the module is awake.

- Set Condition:

When the BCM does not sense the proper current draw on the Rear/Side Doors Lock/Unlock Driver circuits during a lock or unlock command, this code will set.






Diagnostic Test

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's.

Close all doors.

Operate the cargo area door lock and unlock switch two or three times.

Wait 30 seconds.

With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display 9073-REAR/SIDE DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT HIGH?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests


2. REAR/SIDE DOORS LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE





Turn the ignition off.

Disconnect the Body Control Module C7 connector.

Turn the ignition on.

Measure the voltage between the Rear/Side Doors Lock Driver circuit and ground in the BCM C7 connector.

Is there any voltage present?

No

- Repair the Rear/Side Doors Lock Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests

Yes

- Go To 3


3. REAR/SIDE DOORS UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE





Measure the voltage between the Rear/Side Doors Unlock Driver circuit and ground.

Is there any voltage present?

Yes

- Repair the Rear/Side Doors Unlock Driver circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests

No

- Go To 4


4. REAR/SIDE DOORS LOCK OR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN





Measure the resistance between the Rear/Side Doors Lock Driver circuit and the Rear/Side Doors Unlock Driver circuit in the BCM C7 connector.

Is the resistance below 10.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests

No

- Locate and repair the open circuit in either the Rear/Side Doors Lock or Unlock circuit.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests
