Flameout Has Occurred Repeatedly (ZHZ)

9008-FLAMEOUT HAS OCCURRED REPEATEDLY (ZHZ)

- When Monitored:

With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:

Flameout occurs repeatedly in a specific amount of time.






Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR ANY POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULES DTCS

NOTE: Make sure the fuel level is not low.

NOTE: Make sure the fuel strainer is not dirty.

NOTE: Make sure the fuel delivery of metering pump is correct.

NOTE: Make sure the fuel line does not contain air.

NOTE: Make sure the combustion air feed of exhaust line is not blocked.

NOTE: Check the flame sensor for proper operation.

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, read active DTC's.

Does the scan tool display any active DTC's?

Yes

- Repair the Glow Pin Ground circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Verification Tests

No

- Check the above conditions that can cause a low voltage condition. Repair as necessary.
