1630 DRIVE AUTHORIZATION SYSTEM INHABITED KEY

- When Monitored:

Continuously while the system is active.

- Set Condition:

The EIS(CGW) does not recognize the ignition key.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding.

Diagnostic Test

1. ACTIVE DTC

NOTE: Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.

NOTE: Check for DTC(s) that may have set in the EIS(CGW) Module and diagnose before continuing. Ensure the Ignition key has been learned into the EIS(CGW) Module.

Ignition on, engine not running.

With a scan tool, view DTCs.

Is the status Active for this DTC?

Yes

- Replace the EIS(CGW) MODULE.

No

- Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Component Tests and General Diagnostics
