3.0L DIESEL






1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Detach coolant line from lower radiator shroud.

NOTE: The radiator fan assembly is attached (threaded) to the water pump hub shaft. Remove the fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from the water pump by turning the mounting nut counterclockwise as viewed from the front. Threads on the radiator fan drive are LEFT-HAND..

3. Using Counterholder 8930 (Item 2) to hold pulley, remove radiator fan. (Item 5)
4. Remove upper air seal.
5. Remove upper radiator hose.
6. Remove radiator fan shroud and radiator fan. Service and Repair

NOTE: Store the viscous fan clutch in the upright position. DO NOT place down flat.
