RADIO WITH 4.2-INCH DISPLAY STAYS ON 20-30
SECONDS AFTER KEY OFF AND DOOR OPEN

FORD:
2013 C-MAX, Taurus, Edge, Escape, Explorer, Flex

ISSUE
Some 2013 C-Max, Escape, Edge, Explorer, Flex and Taurus vehicles equipped with a 4.2-inch Front Control/Display Interface Module (FCDIM), excluding Monochromatic Displays and MyFord Touch, may exhibit the radio staying on for approximately 20-30 seconds after the key is off and the door open.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Reboot scan tool.

2. Install battery charger.

3. Reprogram the FCDIM to the latest calibration using IDS release 81.05 or higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2012.9 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.

a. Be aware that electrical accessories may operate during programming and should be considered characteristic.

4. Reset FCDIM display time and date, refer to the Owners Manual, Audio System section.

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
