MISSING PIDS FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE/4 WHEEL DRIVE (AWD/4WD) VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS
FORD:
2013 Taurus, Edge, Explorer, Flex
LINCOLN:
2013 MKS, MKT, MKX
ISSUE
Some 2013 AWD/4WD Edge, Explorer, Flex, Taurus, MKS, MKX and MKT vehicles may require pinpoint diagnostic tests which ask for the AWD/4WD PIDS. The AWD/4WD PIDS for these vehicles may not be available.
ACTION
Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) using IDS release 79.04 and higher to enable the PIDS. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2012.5 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
