Pinpoint Test O: NO KEY DETECTED Is Displayed In The Message Center

Normal Operation

During each vehicle start sequence, if the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module does not detect an Intelligent Access (IA) key is within the passive start antennas range and the backup transceiver does not receive an IA (Intelligent Access) key identification code, the message center in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) displays the message NO KEY DETECTED.

NOTE: Some brands/types of mobile phone or laptop computer chargers may cause interference that could lead to a Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) no-start if the IA (Intelligent Access) key is within close proximity of the charger. If a concern is observed, move the IA (Intelligent Access) key away from the charger and attempt to start the vehicle.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Environmental interference

- IA (Intelligent Access) key battery

- IA (Intelligent Access) key not present in the vehicle

- IA (Intelligent Access) key not programmed

- Remote Functions Receiver (RFR) module
