Diagnostic Routine V
Diagnostic Overview
Both Front Power Windows are Inoperative
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 100 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
NOTE: If vehicle is equipped with manual rear windows, REFER to Diagnostic Routine A: All Power Windows are Inoperative Diagnostic Routine A.
The front windows share the same fuse and common ground circuit (provided through the LH (Left Hand) front window control switch).
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Verify that BJB (Battery Junction Box) fuse 46 (25A) is OK.
Pinpoint Test
NOTE: If vehicle is equipped with manual rear windows, REFER to Diagnostic Routine A: All Power Windows are Inoperative Diagnostic Routine A.
1. CHECK THE MASTER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH POWER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect: Master Window Control Switch C504A.
3. Ignition ON.
4. Measure:
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
2. CHECK THE MASTER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Measure:
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
