Diagnostic Routine D
Diagnostic Routine D
Diagnostic Overview
B1319:15
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 37 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The BSIA (Brake Shift Interlock Actuator) system is controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module) and is activated when the BCM (Body Control Module) receives a brake pedal applied input.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
Pinpoint Test
1. Read and record all DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) B1319:15 set?
2. Check the BSIA (Brake Shift Interlock Actuator) power circuit for an open
1. Disconnect the floor shifter C3245.
2. Disconnect the BCM (Body Control Module) C2280C.
3. Inspect the connectors for damaged or pushed out terminals.
4. Measure the resistance of circuit CET52 (GN) from the floor shifter C3245-3 to the BCM (Body Control Module) C2280C-41.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
3. Check the BSIA (Brake Shift Interlock Actuator) ground circuit for an open
1. Measure the resistance of circuit GD133 (BK) from the floor shifter C3245-4 to ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
4. Check BSIA (Brake Shift Interlock Actuator) power circuit for voltage
1. Ignition ON.
2. Measure for voltage on circuit CET52 (GN) from the floor shifter C3245-3 to ground.
Is any voltage present?
