Diagnostic Overview

The Remote Key Programming Chime Is Inoperative

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Remote Key Programming Confirmation Chime .

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION

1. Ignition OFF.

2. Ignition ON.

3. Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.

Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?







2. VERIFY REMOTE KEY PROGRAMMING

1. Verify that the key programming can be successfully carried out.

Can the keys be programmed successfully?







3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0140:00 recorded?







4. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform a BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
