Diagnostic Overview

The Key Left In Vehicle Or Passive Key Out Of Vehicle Chime Is Inoperative - with Intelligent Access (IA)

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Passive Key Out Of Vehicle Chime - with Intelligent Access (IA) .

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION

1. Ignition OFF.

2. Ignition ON.

3. Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.

Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?







2. CHECK THE SMART UNLOCK FUNCTION

1. Verify that the smart unlock function operates correctly. REFER to Smart Unlock .

Does the smart unlock function operate correctly?







3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Is DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0140:00 recorded?







4. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform a BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
