Diagnostic Overview
The Hill Start Assist Chime Is Inoperative
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
REFER to Hill Start Assist Chime .
Pinpoint Test
1. CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Ignition ON.
3. Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
2. CHECK THE OPERATION HILL START ASSIST FUNCTION
1. Verify that the hill start assist function operates correctly.
Does the hill start assist function operate correctly?
3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST
1. Check for recorded IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the continuous self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
4. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) MODULE SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) module self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
5. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST
1. Check for recorded BCM (Body Control Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the self-test.
Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
