Diagnostic Overview

The Outside Air Temperature Display Is Inoperative or Incorrect

Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 60 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Outside Air Temperature Display .

If the air ambient temperature filtered message is missing from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module), the BCM (Body Control Module) and the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) set DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0100:00. If the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) is missing or invalid, the air ambient temperature filtered message, the message center displays all dashes (- - - -) in the outside air temperature display area.

Pinpoint Test

1. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?







2. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE BCM (Body Control Module) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.

Are any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?







3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE PCM (Powertrain Control Module) KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) SELF-TEST

1. Using a scan tool, perform the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) KOEO (Key ON Engine OFF) self-test.

Are any ambient temperature sensor DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
