Rear Disc Brake




Brake Flexible Hose

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation instructions.

1. Remove the wheel and tire. REFER to Wheel and Tire .

2. Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the brake flexible hose clip.
- To install, tighten the brake tube fitting to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).





3. Remove the brake flexible hose bracket bolt, disconnect the brake flexible hose fitting and remove the brake flexible hose.
- To install, tighten the flexible hose fitting to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
- To install, tighten the flexible hose bracket bolt to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Bleed the brake caliper. REFER to Component Bleeding .
