Front Disc Brake




Brake Flexible Hose

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.

1. Remove the wheel and tire. REFER to Wheel and Tire .

2. Remove the brake flexible hose.

1. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.

2. Remove the brake flexible hose clip and disconnect the brake tube fitting.

3. Disconnect the brake flexible hose fitting.






Installation

NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.

1. Install the brake flexible hose.

1. Install the brake hose bracket bolt.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

2. Install the brake flexible hose clip and connect the brake tube fitting.
- Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

3. NOTICE: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and correctly aligned when tightening the brake flexible hose fitting or damage to the brake flexible hose may occur.

Connect the brake flexible hose fitting.
- Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).






2. Bleed the brake caliper. REFER to Component Bleeding .

3. Install the wheel and tire. REFER to Wheel and Tire .
