System Operation

Heated Seats

The heated seat control switch adjusts the driver or passenger seat to the desired heat setting: 0 through 5 (setting 0 is off, 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest). Each heated seat control switch position sends a unique voltage signal to the associated driver or passenger heated seat module. The heated seat module supplies heater current to the seat cushion and backrest heater mats while monitoring input from a temperature sensor (part of the seat cushion heater mat) to maintain the desired seat temperature (setpoint) selected by the heated seat control switch. The approximate temperature setpoints for each heated seat control switch position are:
- Position 1: 26°C (78.8°F)
- Position 2: 30°C (86°F)
- Position 3: 35°C (94.9°F)
- Position 4: 42°C (107.5°F)
- Position 5: 52°C (125.5°F)

The heated seat remains on until the heated seat control switch is turned off or the ignition is set to OFF.
