Roof Opening Panel Control Switch

The roof opening panel control switch is a 2 position, double-detent, rocker-style switch. One position is used for OPEN and the other position is used for CLOSE/VENT. The first detent is for "manual" operation and the second detent is for "one-touch" or "express" operation.

Roof Opening Panel Motor

The roof opening panel motor is a single speed, reversible motor that contains electronics which control and monitor the roof opening panel movement (for obstacle detection and one-touch operating features).

The roof opening panel motor must be initialized when repairs are carried out on any part of the roof opening panel system or whenever:

- the roof opening panel motor has been removed from the roof opening panel system

- the roof opening panel glass has been removed from the roof opening panel system

- the roof opening panel assembly has been removed from the vehicle

- a new roof opening panel motor has been installed

- a new sliding glass panel has been installed

- a new roof opening panel assembly has been installed
