Front Fender: Service and Repair




Fender

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Exploded View

NOTE: LH (Left Hand) shown RH (Right Hand) similar.










Removal

1. Remove the cowl. REFER to Cowl Panel .

2. Remove the cowl filler panel.





3. Remove the headlamp assembly. REFER to Headlamp Assembly .

4. Remove the fender splash shield. REFER to Fender Splash Shield .

5. Remove the 2 fender-to-bumper cover bolts.





6. Remove the 2 front fender bracket bolts.





7. Remove the rocker panel trim. REFER to Rocker Panel Moulding .

8. Remove the 2 lower rear fender bracket bolts.





9. Remove the fender-to-A-pillar baffle.





10. Remove the lower A-pillar bolt.





11. Remove the door frame moulding.





12. Remove the upper A-pillar bolt.





13. Remove the 2 fender-to-apron bolts and the fender.





Installation

1. Position the fender on the vehicle and loosely install the fender-to-apron bolts.





2. Loosely install the upper A-pillar bolt.





3. Loosely install the lower A-pillar bolt.





4. Loosely install the 2 lower fender bolts.





5. Loosely install the 2 front fender bracket bolts.





6. Loosely install the 2 fender-to-bumper cover bolts.





7. Adjust the fender to specification. REFER to Body Repairs .

8. Tighten all fender fasteners.
- 6 Nm (53 lb-in)

9. Install the front door frame moulding.





10. Install the fender-to-A-pillar baffle.





11. Install the fender splash shield. REFER to Fender Splash Shield .

12. Install the rocker panel moulding. REFER to Rocker Panel Moulding .

13. Install the cowl filler panel.





14. Install the cowl panel. REFER to Cowl Panel .

15. Install the headlamp assembly. REFER to Headlamp Assembly .
