FRONT DOOR TO REAR DOOR CONTACT AT THE TOP WEATHERSTRIP

2012 Focus
ISSUE
Some 2012 Focus vehicles may have contact between the front and rear doors at the top weatherstrip when opening and closing the doors.
ACTION
Follow service procedure to correct this condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Open rear door and lower window glass.
2. Grab door outer weatherstrip at top center of door and pull outward to remove approximately 30.5 cm (12") from the door. Do not separate weatherstrip from the corners. (Figure 1)
3. Pull the door outer weatherstrip rearward/forward to obtain a minimum of 3 mm (1/8") gap between front and rear doors. Edge of weatherstrip should be aligned with the black applique. (Figure 2)
4. Install the door outer weatherstrip.
5. If necessary, repeat steps 2-4 on the front door.
