Removal and Replacement

Bumper Cover - Front

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

NOTE: The removal steps in this procedure may include installation details.

1. Remove the fender splash shields. REFER to Fender Splash Shield .

2. Remove the fender-to-bumper cover bolts and the push pin.
- 3 Nm (27 lb-in)
Both Sides





3. Remove the speed lip from the lower engine cover.
- 2 Nm (18 lb-in)
4-Door Sedan





4. Position aside the lower engine cover.





5. Remove the lower splash shield.
- 2 Nm (18 lb-in)





6. Disconnect and position aside the front fog lamp electrical connector (if equipped).

- Disconnect the electrical connector
- Remove the pushpin retainer and position aside the wiring harness.






7. Remove the headlamp assemblies. REFER to Headlamp Assembly .

8. Remove the secondary hood release.





9. Remove the upper cover fasteners.
- 4 Nm (35 lb-in)





10. Remove the front bumper cover.





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
