Pinpoint Test
1. CHECK THE RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE VOLTAGE SUPPLY
1. Ignition ON.
2. Measure and record:
3. Ignition OFF.
4. Disconnect: RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module C4392C.
5. Ignition ON.
6. Measure:
Is the voltage measured at the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module within 2 volts of the voltage measured at the battery?
2. CHECK THE RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE GROUND
1. Measure:
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
3. CHECK FOR CORRECT RFA (Remote Function Actuator) MODULE OPERATION
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect and inspect all the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module connectors.
3. Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals- clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
4. Connect the RFA (Remote Function Actuator) module connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
5. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
