Diagnostic Overview
The Visual Park Aid Alert Is Inoperative
Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 131 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
REFER to Image Display .
Pinpoint Test
1. VERIFY THE VISUAL PARK AID IS ENABLED
1. Verify that the visual park aid is enabled in the FDIM (Front Display Interface Module).
Is the visual park aid enable in the FDIM (Front Display Interface Module)?
2. CHECK THE DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE PAM (Parking Aid Module) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform PAM (Parking Aid Module) self-test.
2. Check the PAM (Parking Aid Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the self-test.
Are any PAM (Parking Aid Module) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
3. CHECK THE DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) FROM THE IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform BCM (Body Control Module) self-test.
2. Check the IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from the self-test.
Are any IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) recorded?
4. CHECK FOR CORRECT VIDEO CAMERA OPERATION
1. Ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect and inspect the video camera connector.
3. Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals- clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins- install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins- install new pins as necessary
4. Reconnect the video camera connector. Make sure it seats correctly.
5. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
