Auto-Unlock Programming

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

General Procedure

NOTE: Make sure the ignition is in the OFF mode and the doors are closed and unlocked.

NOTE: When programming the auto-unlock feature, carry out the steps within 30 seconds or the procedure needs to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, wait 30 seconds between programming sessions.

1. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON mode.

2. Press the door lock control switch 3 times.

3. Turn the ignition from ON to OFF mode.

4. Press the door lock control switch 3 times.

5. NOTE: The horn chirps as acknowledgement that programming mode has been entered.
Turn the ignition to the ON mode. The module is now in programming mode.

6. To enable/disable the auto-unlock feature, press the door lock control switch 3 times within 3 seconds. The horn chirps once if auto-unlock is disabled or twice (one short chirp followed by a honk) if autolock is enabled.

7. Turn the ignition to the OFF mode to exit programming. The horn chirps once to signal that the programming is complete.
