Front Fender: Service and Repair

Fender

Removal

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

2. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille.
3. Remove the cowl filler panel.







4. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly.
5. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield.
6. For LH fender. Refer to: Charge Port Light Ring.
7. Remove the 2 fender-to-bumper cover bolts.







8. Remove the 2 front fender bracket bolts.







9. Remove the rocker panel moulding.
Refer to: Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

10. Remove the 2 lower rear fender bracket bolts.







11. Remove the fender-to-A-pillar baffle.







12. Remove the lower A-pillar bolt.







13. Remove the door frame moulding.







14. Remove the upper A-pillar bolt.







15. Remove the 2 fender-to-apron bolts and the fender.







Installation

1. Position the fender on the vehicle and loosely install the 2 fender-to-apron bolts.







2. Loosely install the upper A-pillar bolt.







3. Loosely install the lower A-pillar bolt.







4. Loosely install the 2 lower rear fender bolts.







5. Loosely install the 2 front fender bracket bolts.







6. Loosely install the 2 fender-to-bumper cover bolts.







7. Adjust the fender to specification.
Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).

8. Tighten all fender fasteners.
Torque: 6 Nm

9. Install the door frame moulding.







10. Install the fender-to-A-pillar baffle.







11. For LH fender.
Refer to: Charge Port Light Ring (414-03B High Voltage Battery Charging System, Removal and Installation).

12. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield.
13. Install the rocker panel moulding.
Refer to: Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08 Exterior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

14. Install the cowl filler panel.







15. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).
16. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
