Window Regulator - Front Door

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the front door window glass. For additional information, refer to Window Glass- Front Door Window Glass - Front Door.

2. Remove the window regulator motor from the front of the carrier
- Disconnect the window motor electrical connector.

- Remove the 3 screws the window regulator motor.






3. NOTE: Do not remove the carrier from the door.
Remove the 10 door carrier bolts.

- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).






4. NOTE: Back side of carrier shown for clarity.

NOTE: DO NOT remove the carrier from the door.

NOTE: During installation, make sure the carrier tabs are correctly positioned inside the run channel retainers before sliding the carrier in place otherwise the carrier will prevent the installation of the window glass.

Detach the carrier from the door frame.
- Slide the carrier forward to release the carrier tabs from the 3 run channel retainers.

- Route the interior door cable through the door carrier.






5. NOTE: Carrier shown removed from door for clarity.
Remove the window regulator.

- Reaching between the door frame and carrier, remove the 2 window regulator bolts.

- Using a suitable socket (10mm) release the window regulator retaining tabs located on the front of the carrier.

- Remove the window regulator from the door carrier.






6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If installing a new LH front window regulator, the LH window motor must be initialized. For additional information, refer to Window Motor Initialization Programming and Relearning.
