ISSUE
Some 2010 Flex, MKS, MKT and Taurus vehicles equipped with Eco Boost (GTDI) engine and built on or before 3/1/2010 may exhibit an automatic transmission bump after a 3-1 coasting downshift below 10 MPH (16 Km/h). A new calibration is available that will improve shift feel and reduce the bump after a 3-1 coasting downshift below 10 MPH (16 Km/h).
ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 65.04 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2010.1 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
