Selector Lever

Removal









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.

2. Remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever.





3. Remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly bracket and discard the selector lever cable retaining clip.





4. Remove the center console top finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.

5. Disconnect the selector lever connector.





6. Remove the 2 selector lever assembly nuts and the 2 selector lever assembly screws and carefully lift the selector lever assembly from the vehicle.





Installation

1. Position the selector lever assembly in the vehicle and install the 2 selector lever assembly nuts and the 2 selector lever assembly screws.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).





2. Connect the selector lever connector.





3. Install the center console top finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.

4. NOTE: Install a new selector lever cable retaining clip prior to installation.

Install the selector lever cable into the selector lever assembly bracket.





5. Install the selector lever cable onto the selector lever and lock the selector lever cable lock.





6. Verify the selector lever cable is adjusted correctly. For additional information, refer to Selector Lever Cable Adjustment Selector Lever Cable Adjustment.
