Selector Lever Knob









Removal

Vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine

1. Remove the selector lever trim ring.





2. Remove the center console trim panel.





3. Disconnect the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) electrical connector.





All vehicles

4. NOTE: Fusion/Milan shown, MKZ similar.

Slide the selector lever knob bezel downward to gain access to the 2 selector lever knob screws.





5. NOTICE: For vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine, it is necessary to route the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) harness out of the selector lever bezel when removing the selector lever knob.

NOTE: Fusion/Milan shown, MKZ similar.

Remove the 2 screws from the selector lever knob. Remove the selector lever knob and selector lever knob bezel.





Installation

All vehicles

1. NOTICE: For vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine, it is necessary to route the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) harness through the selector lever bezel when installing the selector lever knob.

NOTE: Fusion/Milan shown, MKZ similar.

Install the selector lever knob on the selector lever and install the screws.





2. NOTE: Fusion/Milan shown, MKZ similar.

Slide the selector lever knob bezel up and install it on the selector lever knob.





Vehicles equipped with 2.5L engine

3. Connect the TCS electrical connector.





4. Install the center console trim panel.





5. Install the selector lever trim ring.
