Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner

Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.

2. Remove the 4 screws and position the RH fender splash shield aside.





3. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the A/C splash shield.

4. Using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and position the accessory drive belt off of the accessory drive belt tensioner.

5. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
