Normal Operation
The PCM communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN), circuits 1847 (WH/OG) and 1848 (PK/OG). The PCM shares the HS-CAN with the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and the instrument cluster. Circuit 883 (PK/LB) provides voltage, and circuit 570 (BK/WH) provides ground.

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit 570 (BK/WH) open
- Circuit 883 (PK/LB) open
- Circuit 1847 (WH/OG) open, short to ground or voltage (HS-CAN +)
- Circuit 1848 (PK/OG) open, short to ground or voltage (HS-CAN -)
- Circuit 1847 (WH/OG) (HS-CAN +) and circuit 1848 (PK/OG) (HS-CAN -) shorted together
- PCM
- ABS module
- Instrument cluster
