Condenser to Evaporator Line

CONDENSER TO EVAPORATOR LINE

Removal and Installation

NOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.

1. Remove the suction accumulator.







2. Remove the 2 bolts.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).







3. Remove the lower radiator air deflector.
1 Remove the 5 screws and remove the air deflector (if equipped).
2 Remove the 7 screws and the lower radiator air deflector.







4. Remove the nut and disconnect the condenser outlet fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).







5. Disconnect the condenser-to-evaporator line spring lock coupling at the evaporator core inlet.
- Discard the O-ring seals.

6. Remove the condenser-to-evaporator line.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new O-ring seals.
