Brake Pedal and Bracket - Fixed:

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and the instrument panel lower steering column cover.
^ To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).





3. Remove the brake pedal position switch.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the retaining clip.
3. Remove the switch, the 2 washers and the bushing.
4. Disconnect the speed control deactivator switch electrical connector and detach the wiring harness routing retainers.





5. Release the locking tabs and remove the speed control deactivator switch.
6. Remove the 2 brake pedal bracket bolts.
^ To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove the 4 brake pedal bracket nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
8. Remove the brake pedal bracket from the vehicle.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
