Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) monitors circuit 84 (VT/YE) for a ground signal. If the luggage compartment release switch is pressed, circuit 84 (VT/YE) is grounded through the switch to circuit 57 (BK) and the luggage compartment release solenoid receives voltage from the SJB on circuit 202 (OG/LG) causing the luggage compartment release solenoid to cycle, releasing the luggage compartment lid latch.

- Circuit 57 (BK) open
- Circuit 84 (VT/YE) open or short to ground
- Circuit 202 (OG/LG) open or short to ground
- Luggage compartment lid release switch
- Luggage compartment lid actuator
