Gearshift Lever and Boot

Gearshift Lever Exploded View:

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the gearshift lever knob and boot.
^ Pull the gearshift lever boot rearward, then lift up the corner of the boot.
^ Do not pry on the shift boot bezel. This will separate the bezel from the boot.








2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
3. Remove the 2 rear gearshift underbody nuts.
^ To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs).





4. Remove the transmission shift linkage bolt, the transmission shift arm bolt and the gearshift lever assembly.
^ To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
