Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch: Service and Repair

INERTIA FUEL SHUTOFF (IFS) SWITCH







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Remove the LH sill plate.







3. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim panel.
- Remove the pin-type retainer and the trim panel.

4. Disconnect the inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch electrical connector
5. Remove the 2 bolts and the IFS switch.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
