Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner - 4.0L SOHC

Removal and Installation
1. Using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the accessory drive belt tensioner.
2. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
- To install, tighten to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

3. NOTE: Refer to the illustration for correct drive belt routing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
