Material
1. Remove the hydraulic system from the vehicle.
2. Remove the fill plug at the end of the hydraulic pump.
3. Elevate the pump and motor assembly above the hydraulic lift cylinders.
4. NOTE: The hydraulic pump bypass button needs to be pressed while the bleeding procedure is carried out.
Locate the hydraulic pump bypass button.
5. With the hydraulic lift cylinders fully retracted, fill the pump with automatic transmission fluid to the bottom of the fill hole and install the fill plug.
6. NOTE:
- Make sure the motor/pump is above the hydraulic lift cylinders before operating the motor/pump.
- Some noise squeal may be noticed due to the air in the hydraulic system.
With the hydraulic lift cylinder rod eyes up and the hydraulic pump bypass button pressed, connect a 12-volt power source to the motor connector and operate the motor until the cylinders are fully extended.
7. With the hydraulic lift cylinder rod eyes down and the hydraulic pump bypass button pressed, reverse the 12-volt connection and operate the motor until the cylinders are fully retracted.
8. Repeat Steps 5 through 7 three times, ending with the hydraulic lift cylinders retracted.
9. Remove the fill plug and check the fluid level. If necessary, add automatic transmission fluid to the bottom of the fill hole.
